My Brand

This blog will be focused on my brand that is being created through this project: the documentary. I will be going in depth into what my brand is, how it represents me as a person and filmmaker, and how I plan to develop it throughout my project.

To start it off, I wanted to say that I don't plan on making my brand to expressed rather something more laid down that people can notice but it doesn't rely on how my piece does. I think this minimal expression also says something about my brand which I believe is a calming and non-stress type of brand.

Before I go further into my brand, I want to explain how I think this relates to my personal life. Instead of taking the position of a fun, active, and extremely entertaining approach, I was planning on taking the calmer and more relaxed side. Meaning this would be the type of piece you would watch while you're trying to go to sleep or get relaxed.

This relates to me through the calming aspect since I feel tired all the time and watching something that is very active doesn't always fit. My brand will embrace and show itself mainly through my documentary as I want it to be the "fall asleep" type of show. This works especially well since all the episodes would host a different animal and wouldn't necessarily be connected to one another.

About my actual brand, it is kind of hard not to repeat myself especially because I talked about the warmer and calmer aspect a lot already in my color schemes blog posting.

Although that calmer side is mainly going to be shown in my actual documentary section, I also plan to embrace and infuse it into my Instagram account (I started it already and will add a little explanation paragraph at the end). To do this, I will make my Instagram account very similar to some calming and stress relieving accounts, specifically the ones that post inspirational quotes since I plan on doing quotes of the week.

Talking about the quote of the week, I think the quotes will be made as actual postings, but the pet of the week will be a highlight reel to not overload with weekly topics on my actual postings. Anyway, I plan on developing my account to be very "aesthetic," warm colored, and easy to look at, meaning not a lot all at once.

To wrap it up, I want to talk a tiny bit about my progress on my Instagram account. Since I know the Instagram posting is meant to be very consistent, like our blogs, I decided to worry about the rest of it later, but simply get out at least one posting. I decided to start simple and I found a quote relating to pets by a famous celebrity. If I end up not liking this idea, I can always change it but I wnated to start posting so I thought it was better to try than not to. Secondly, I was brainstorming titles but it's never been so difficult, so I'm still trying to come up with one at the moment.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have gained a greater understanding of my brand and how I plan to develop.
